Sell Your Sawmill or Lumber Yard
Most mill owners have never seen a real number for their operation. Selling starts with knowing it. Here is the whole path, priced honestly, with no commission conversation until you ask for one.
Step 1 · FreeKnow your number
The free snapshot first, always. A mill priced from comps instead of hope sells; a mill priced from hope sits. You get a value band within two business days.
Run the Free Snapshot Step 2 · ListSubmit your listing
Create a free account and submit the operation — details, financials, photos. We review every listing before it publishes, usually within one business day. Once approved, it's $299 flat and the listing stays live until you sell. Selling equipment instead? Flat $49 for 90 days.
Start a Business Listing Step 3 · OptionalAdvisory, if you want it
The $2,500 Succession Starter: valuation, three-year exit plan, and buyer-readiness checklist. For owners years from the market who want the exit planned before they need it.
List Your Operation
Submit → we review → you pay → it's live. No card needed to start, and nothing publishes until we approve it and you pay.

The business, the equipment, the story. Financials stay between us until the listing profile is approved.
List My Business Equipment · $49 / 90 daysSell equipment
Sawmills, edgers, kilns, planers, tractors, chainsaws — any working iron of the wood industry.
List Equipment Not ready yet?Know your number first
Run the free valuation snapshot. Most owners who use it are years from a sale — that's the point.
Free Valuation Compliance, plainly: we charge advertising and analysis fees (listings, featured slots, valuation reports) — not sales commissions. Before any success-fee or co-brokerage work, BuilderGrowth LLC registers with the Illinois Secretary of State under the Business Brokers Act or co-brokers with a registered broker. If a deal includes real property, a licensed real estate broker handles that component. You will always know which mode you are in.
What buyers see
Every listing runs the same format: the operation, the ask, the financial shape, and the source. For example:

Common Questions
How much does it cost to list?
A business listing is $299 flat, paid only after we review and approve your submission, and it stays live until you sell. Equipment listings are $49 for 90 days. If you're already publicly for sale elsewhere, we also aggregate every listing we can find into the free feed. No commissions on the advertising side, ever.
How long does it take to sell a sawmill?
Plan on six to twelve months from listing to close. Well-documented operations with realistic pricing sit at the short end; owner-dependent businesses with optimistic asks can take years. The free snapshot exists so you price from comps, not hope.
Do you take a commission when my business sells?
Not on the advertising side. If you want us in the deal itself — intro or success-fee work — that happens only after IL registration or through a co-brokerage split with a registered broker, and it is a separate written agreement you sign first.
